Today, we received our new Eachine EV800 FPV Goggles!
Our first impression wasn’t that great because the box came in totally smashed and mangled, however, the goggles were OK and they look pretty good!
The quality and feel of the goggles really isn’t that bad, you can tell that the plastic feels a little cheap, but for the price, you can’t really complain.
The goggles have a built in 3.7v 2000mah battery (which should last about 3.5 hrs) and it has a 5.9GHz 40ch receiver that has the super simple to use auto-search function. It also has a 5 inch 800 x 480px HD LCD screen and if the built in battery isn’t enough for you, you can add back-up power as well. 😉 The front half of the goggles is detachable, so you can use it as a screen if you don’t want to wear the goggles!
The goggles doesn’t weigh too much either. It’s not as slim and sleek looking as some Fatshark FPV googles, but it’s definitely a big step up over the DIY FPV goggles, lol.
We got our Eachine FPV Goggles 79.99 US off the banggood.com website. These goggles are the newer version of the Eachine VR-007, which is another pair of beginner goggles with a more sleeker design than the DIY FPV Goggles.
The quality of the visual isn’t too bad. You can definitely see things clearly, although we wish it was a little brighter.
The goggles aren’t too comfortable to wear. You would have to find that sweet spot to wear it comfortably. We’re thinking about adding a little more cushion around the goggles.
We are happy with our purchase. For the price, the quality is good, the auto-search function makes connecting to your drone super simple (it instantly connected to our Eachine Falcon 250), and the detachable front is probably the coolest feature. So, you get a 2 in 1 function out of these FPV goggles.
Stay tuned because a Eachine FPV Goggle video demonstration will be coming out for these goggles REAL SOON!!!
